Ireland has some of the most beautiful small towns and Galway is no exception. Galway is by far my favorite and the whole reason I wanted to live in Ireland one day, so it’s no surprise I’ve made it a point to head out “wesht” a few times a year since making my big move abroad.
When in Galway, my GO TO brunch spot is Ard Bia at Nimmos. It’s in the perfect location at the end of Shop Street and right next to the Spanish Arch. If you are lucky, you can get a window seat looking out to the bay!
You may also recognize this hot spot if you are an Ed Sheeran fan! The Ard Bia at Nimmos front door has a little screen time in his Galway Girl music video! Can you spot it?
Food
The food here is wonderful! They serve the delicious Dublin based coffee brand, 3FE. And they have a great assortment of tea that you can get in your own tea pot!
You will find super yummy versions of the classic brunch dishes, like pancakes, french toast, and a traditional Irish fry up.
Price
Most of the brunch plates are 7-12 euro. All the tea pots are about 3 euro and will get you MULTIPLE cups of tea.
Groups
Ard Bia at Nimmos is a great place for small groups. Most tables fit about 2-4 people. If going on a weekend, make sure to get there early and get your name in, there is almost always a wait!
